CANDIDATES to make sure THEIR ELIGIBILITY FOR THE EXAMINATION:-

The candidates applying for the examination should make sure that they fulfil all the eligibility conditions for admission to the Examination. Their admission in the least the stages of the examination are going to be purely provisional subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions.

2. The way to APPLY

2.1 Candidates are required to use online by using the web site http://upsconline.nic.in

Brief instructions for filling up the web form are given within the Appendix-II (A). Detailed instructions are available on the above mentioned website.2.2 The Commission has introduced the power of withdrawal of Application for those candidates who don't want to seem for the Examination. during this regard, Instructions are mentioned in Appendix-II (B) of this Examination Notice.

2.3 Candidate should have details of 1 Photo ID Card viz. Aadhaar Card/Voter Card/PAN Card/Passport/Driving Licence/Any other Photo ID Card issued by the State/Central Government. the small print of this Photo ID Card will need to be provided by the candidate while filling up the web form . The candidates will need to upload a scanned copy of the Photo ID whose details are provided within the online application by him/her. This Photo ID Card are going to be used for all future referencing and the candidate is suggested to hold this Photo ID Card while appearing for Examination/Personality Test/SSB.

UPSC Announced the results of the IFS Indian Forest Services Main -Examination 2020 held by the upsc from 28-Feb-2021 to 7- March-2021, the qualified candidates with their  Roll Numbers are mentioned in the below table  





The qualified candidates will be called for interview ( Personality Test) for the  selection to the Indian Forest Service Exam-2020 (Group ‘A’).The qualified candidates will be required to bring the original certificates in personality tests. The certificates include age, educational qualifications, community, EWS, Person with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) and other documents such as TA Form, etc.  


The  Interviews of these selected candidates will be held in  the Office of the UPSC at Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi-110069. The e-Summon Letter for Personality Test (interview) of the candidates will be  uploaded on the Commission Website http://www.upsc.gov.in , the candidates may download the same from there.  The candidates who may not be able to download e-Summon Letter for Personality Test, should immediately contact the office of the Commission through letter or on Phone Nos.

A candidate who qualifies for Personality Test /Interview on the basis of Result of Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination, 2020, will be required to submit their Order of Preferences for Zone(s) /State(s) Cadre   through DAF-II.  DAF-II will be made available on the Commission’s website from 23/06/2021 to 06/07/2021

Every year, in the month of September, the Union Public Service Commission releases a notification for COMBINEDGEO-SCIENTIST AND GEOLOGIST EXAMINATIONS (CGGE) for the recruitment of worthy candidates for Geographical Survey of India and Central Water Board. The candidates are recruited for the posts Geophysicist, Chemist and Geologist Group ‘A’ in GSI and Junior hydrogeologist(Scientist B), Group ‘A’ in Central water Board. And the competitive Exam is held in the month of July.

The candidates of combined Geo-scientist and Geologist Examinations are required to appear in all the mentioned subject against the respective category for the specific post and the examination will be conducted as per norms of UPSC.

Kindly note that the pattern and the syllabus of Combined Geo-scientist and Geologist examinations has been revised by UPSC from 2020, onwards.

 

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR GEO SCIENTIST AND GEOLOGIST EXAMINATION:

·         A Tibetan refugee settled in Indian before 1962

·         A subject of Bhutan or Nepal

·         An Indian origin person migrated from Burma, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and East African countries and intended to settle down permanently in India.

     For a general candidate, age should vary between 21-32 years.

However, age relaxation given to different categories are mentioned below

·         OBC- 3 YRS
