Civil-Services-Examination of India is considered one of the HARDEST competitive examination in all over the India. The CSE-Exam is conducted by the 【Union Public Service Commission 】【UPSC】for the recruitment of officers To the All India Administrative Civil Services.

The Preliminary examination comprises of Objective-type Questions. The syllabus is very much vast and one must firstly to understand the syllabus and  areas from which questions are expected. Practice makes a man perfect, but at the same time, it is also true that you need to get proper Analization on subjects and syllabus

GS-II-Paper  SyllabusTopic wise

    

  • Comprehension; 

  •  Interpersonal skills + including communication skills; 

  •  Logical reasoning & analytical ability

  • Decision making & problem solving

  • General mental ability; 

  • Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations +orders of magnitude etc.) + (Class X level)+Data interpretation +(charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc — Class X level); 


Note 1 : Paper-II of the Civil Services Pre-Examination will be a Qualifying nature paper with minimum Qualifying marks fixed at 33%. 


Note 2 : The questions will be of MCQ, objective type. 


Note 3 : It is mandatory for all  the candidates to appear in both the GS Papers of Civil Services (Prelim-Examination )for the purpose of evaluation. in case he||she does not attend  both the papers of the Civil Services (Prelim-Examination) than  a candidate will be disqualified



Main Examination 

 The main Exam is conducted to check the overall intellectual traits & depth of understanding of the candidates rather than merely the range of their information and memory. 

The nature and standard level  of questions in the GS papers (Paper 2 - Paper 5) will be such that a focused candidate and well-educated person will be easily able to answer the Question  without any specialized study.All  The questions will be such as   to check a candidate’s General awareness of the  variety of subjects which will have necessary for a career in Civil Services.all  The Questions are likely to test the candidates al  basic understanding on  all relevant issues, and ability to analyze & take a view on  socio-economic goals  objectives & demands. The candidates must givethe  relevant, meaningful and impressive answers.

QUALIFYING PAPERS for  INDIAN LANGUAGES AND ENGLISH 

The purpose of this paper is to check the candidates ability to read & understand serious  prose, and to express their ideas clearly & correctly in English & Indian language. 


Mains paper-1 300 marks

The pattern of questions would be  as following: 

for English language

(i) Comprehension of given passages. 

(ii) Précis Writing. 

(iii) Usage and Vocabulary. 

(iv) Short Essays. 


Mains paper -2 (300 marks)

For Indian Languages:— 

(i) comprehension of given passages. 

(ii) Précis Writing. 

(iii) Usage and Vocabulary. 

(iv) Short Essays. 

(v)Translation from English to  Indian Language.


 Candidates can  choose any one of the optional subjects from amongst the given  list of subjects given in para 2 below

Note : For Santhali language the  question paper will be printed in the Devanagari script  but the candidates will be free to answer either in the Devanagari script or in the Olchiki


Note 1: The papers of  Indian Languages & English will be of Matriculation standard or equivalent standard and will be of qualifying nature only. The marks obtained in these 2 papers will not be counted for ranking. 


Note 2: All The candidates will have to answer in the English and in the  Indian Languages The papers will in English & the respective Indian language (except the  translation is involved). 


PAPER-3 Essay


Candidates have to write essays on multiple topics. They will be expected to keep closely to the subject of the essay to arrange their ideas in orderly fashion, and to write concisely. Credit will be given for effective and exact expression.

PAPER-8&PAPER-9 are  Optional Subject Papers I & II 


The syllabus for the  optional subject papers (Paper VI - Paper VII) for the examination is broadly of the honours degree level i.e. a level higher than the bachelors’ degree and lower than the masters’ degree . In the case of Engineering, Medical Science and law, the level corresponds to the bachelors’ degree
